Green Lane United Methodist Church is a church filled with rich tradition. We are a spiritual home and family that is supported by God's grace. As Methodists, we believe that the church is the body of Christ, which is an extension of Christ's life and ministry in the world today. We are called to worship God and to support those who participate in its life as they grow in faith.

We believe there is one true, holy and living God, who is Creator, Sovereign and Preserver of all things visible and invisible. Also, we believe that in the Godhead, there are three persons of one substance, power, and eternity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

As a church, we strive to put love and faith into action by bring others to Christ, helping the less fortunate and being friendly with everyone we meet.

Our church desires to open hearts and minds, so that love of Christ may impact individuals on a deeper level. We do this by offering weekly Bible Classes and Sunday Worship Services, and also through other programs such as our men's fellowship and even a karate group. Green Lane UMC has always been a powerful presence in the Roxborough community. One of our most distinguished ministries is Green Lane School, for children 2 years old through pre-kindergarten, which has served the community for over 40 years.

We invite you to join us at Green Lane UMC as we follow Christ.

Our Mission Statement
